July 26, 2018
[Madison, WI] — Yesterday, the Republican Party of Wisconsin held a press conference calling on the Democrats running for governor to denounce Matt Flynn’s candidacy after a recently unearthed letter detailed how Flynn provided sexually abusive priests with legal counsel. Governor Walker added on, calling on all candidates to demand Flynn drop out of the race. Sadly, almost every Democrat candidate for Governor chose to stand by Flynn, continuing to support him despite his involvement in the scandal.

The Republican Party of Wisconsin and Governor Walker have asked Democrat Matt Flynn to drop out of the governor’s race.
This comes as two women’s groups and two state democratic lawmakers also asking him to leave. With three weeks before the primary, Flynn said the GOP is trying to target him and he won’t apologize for his work.
Republicans are also asking the remaining seven candidates to ask him to leave the race.
Democrat Kelda Roys said while she supports survivors of priest who’ve been accused of sexual abuse, she refused to comment on attacks from the Republican Party.
“I’m not going to respond to any attempts to the RPW to try and further divide this state,” said Roys.
