Obamacare Architect Returns to Milwaukee Today
Kathleen Sebelius and Russ Feingold among chief advocates for failed law
[Madison, Wis.] – Today, failed Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will visit Milwaukee to speak on the topic of global health. Most widely known as the architect of the failed Obamacare boondoggle, Sebelius was confirmed in 2009 with help and support from her ally Russ Feingold. She resigned from her position in 2014 after orchestrating the disastrous Obamacare rollout which cost hard-working taxpayers nearly $2.1 billion. This will be her second major visit to the Badger state in the last few years, and a WISGOP web video can be viewed to highlight her last visit here.
Yesterday marked the fifth anniversary of Obamacare – and the Republican Party of Wisconsin took the opportunity to remind voters of its catastrophic impact.
Five Years of Obamacare
- Millions of Americans lost their health coverage since Obamacare’s implementation, despite promises from the Obama Administration that they could keep their plans.
- Even the most modest projections show the law will cost hard-working taxpayers nearly $1.2 trillion over the next ten years.
- Increased taxes and more burdensome regulations are suffocating small businesses and preventing job creation.
“Washington Insider Russ Feingold and Kathleen Sebelius are to blame for Obamacare and its negative impact on Wisconsin taxpayers and small businesses,” said Joe Fadness, Executive Director of the Republican Party of Wisconsin. “Voters should be alarmed by their desperate effort to mislead our state and push the Obama Administration’s failed agenda.”
