[Madison, WI] — Attorney General Brad Schimel launched his re-election campaign yesterday. In a video, Schimel makes clear that he’s fighting to keep Wisconsin families safe and standing with law enforcement.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: GOP Attorney General Brad Schimel launched his re-election bid Thursday. “As a career prosecutor, your attorney general, I’m fighting for Wisconsin,” Schimel said in a video kicking off the campaign.
From the Associated Press: Schimel won election to his first term as attorney general in 2014. He issued a news release Thursday morning announcing his re-election campaign along with an online ad touting his work to combat opioid abuse, human trafficking and elder abuse. An unseen narrator describes Schimel as tough, fair and independent.
From Wisconsin Public Radio: He emphasized his background as a prosecutor in his announcement video, with the ad’s narrator referring to Schimel as the state’s “top cop” and proclaiming he had kept Wisconsin safe. “Drug dealers and criminals are behind bars,” the ad proclaims. “Human trafficking rings and the offenders behind them face prosecution and jail time.”
