Thanks to your support, Wisconsin voters spoke loudly for reform by electing Republicans across the state to continue moving our state forward.
Over the last four years we made tough, but prudent, decisions to put our state back on the right track through a pro-growth agenda. Together, we balanced a $3.6 billion budget deficit without raising taxes – but our reforms didn’t end there. In my first term, we reduced the overall tax burden facing Wisconsinites by over $2 billion, increased funding in our schools, froze UW tuition statewide, and gave job creators the tools needed to succeed. Now, over 150,000 new jobs and 35,000 new businesses have been created as Wisconsin moves forward.
We have shown that Wisconsin can have a state government that puts taxpayers first, not big government special interests. We’ve accomplished a lot and can be proud of our progress, but there’s still so much more to do, and we’re not done yet.
