Ann Walsh Bradley Chooses Extreme Ideology Over Public Safety
Time and Again Bradley Asserts Her Dangerously Liberal Agenda Instead of Standing for Justice
[Madison, Wis.] – In yet another troubling example of how far State Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley will go to exert her extreme liberal ideology, Bradley preferred to ignore critical evidence in a sexual assault of a young teenager. This latest example involves Dale Davidson – who was originally convicted of sexual assault in 1985 and assaulted his 13-year-old niece ten years later on a family camping trip.
Davidson was initially convicted of first-degree sexual assault of a 6-year-old girl in a church basement in 1985. Just ten years later, Davidson woke his 13-year-old niece and proceeded to encourage her to drink alcohol before assaulting her multiple times that same day. As author of the dissenting opinion, Bradley egregiously argued that Davidson’s previous conviction should be disregarded at trial – even going so far as to accuse the majority of Justices of engaging in “legal gymnastics” for allowing the conviction to be admitted in court.
“Wisconsin families deserve Supreme Court Justices who will work to protect victims of abuse, not violent predators,” said Joe Fadness, Executive Director of the Republican Party of Wisconsin. Fadness added, “Time and again, Bradley has stood on the wrong side of justice, and voters should be alarmed by her troubling record.”
Despite her rhetoric, Bradley has worked to make it more difficult to prosecute dangerous criminals. Her judicial approach is simply too risky for Wisconsin families.
