Wisconsin Can’t Afford Taxin’ Tom Nelson in Washington, D.C.
Eight days left until the Election, Nelson refuses to explain his failed record
[Green Bay, Wis.] –Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District voters can’t afford Taxin’ Tom Nelson to represent them in Congress. Nelson’s record of higher taxes and bigger government cost Wisconsin jobs and families their hard-earned money.
“Tom Nelson’s tax-and-spend agenda put hard-working Wisconsin families last,” said Pat Garrett, spokesman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin. “Nelson raised taxes on just about everything, including working-class Wisconsinites and Wisconsin manufacturers. During the economic downturn, when opportunity knocked, he took a taxpayer-funded raise for himself.”
Nelson’s Tax and Spend Agenda is wrong for Northeastern Wisconsin
- As a state legislator, Tom Nelson voted for over $2 Billion in higher taxes.
- These taxes affected families of all income levels. Nelson voted for higher taxes on just about everything.
- What’s worse, as Nelson voted to raise taxes on hard-working Wisconsinites, he took a taxpayer-funded pay raise for himself.
- In the legislature, Nelson used his leadership role to push through the 2009-2011 Doyle Budget, which was nothing more than higher taxes and more out-of-control government.
Throughout the campaign, Nelson has avoided discussing his record in the hope that voters will forget he raised their taxes and took a pay raise. Find out more at www.therealtomnelson.com.
