RPW Statement Regarding Northwoods Mining Legislation

[MADISON, WI]- Republican Party of Wisconsin Communications Director Ben Sparks released the following statement regarding the passing of Northwoods Mining legislation in the Assembly.

"Yesterday, Assembly Republicans took a stand for the families of the Northwoods and passed a landmark job creation bill that is projected to create over 3,000 construction jobs, an additional 2,800 to 5,600 long term mining jobs, and have a positive $2 billion economic impact on the local economy. This mining bill will help create good family-sustaining jobs with benefits for the hard working people of Northern Wisconsin. The Democrats' flagrant opposition to this important job-creating initiative is a shameful display of partisanship in the face of Northwoods families who are looking for work."
